Your practice, a tap away

Take Note Quite
with you.

Add it to your home screen and keep your favorite practice songs ready, even without Wi-Fi.

Note Quite is a progressive web app (PWA): a website you can open like an app. No app-store download or account is needed. You can also keep using it in your browser.

Install the trainer, not this guide. Start at notequite.wut.works/app/. The home-screen icon should open your practice screen, not the landing page.

Before you leave the Wi-Fi

Pack your practice songs.

Installing an icon alone does not download the whole songbook. In Settings, choose Download everything for offline use to save all included melodies and original MIDI files. Keep the app open until it says Ready offline. You can cancel and retry without losing saved files. Do this inside the browser or installed app you plan to use offline.

  1. Open Note Quite while online. Go to Settings and wait for Offline app ready.
  2. Download everything, or open the songs you want. Use the download button in Settings for the full library, or choose individual songs from Playlist and let them load. For a bundled song's other instrument parts, open Choose instrument part while online too.
  3. Save your own MIDI pieces. In Import / Export, select a MIDI and choose a part to practice. Saved imports stay on this device. You can also import a new MIDI offline if its file is available locally.
  4. Try the microphone once. Tap Start singing and allow access. If asked again later, allow it in the browser or installed app you're using.
  5. Do a quick offline check. Turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data, reopen the app, and try your saved melody. Turn your connection back on afterward.
Available offline: cached melodies, saved MIDI imports, new local MIDI conversion, Warmup Scales, pitch feedback, the piano, settings, history, and backups. Needs a connection: songs or original files not already saved, app updates, and external source pages. These landing pages are not part of the app's offline download.

Keep your progress safe.

In Settings, Keep data on this device asks the browser to retain storage; the browser decides whether to grant it. In Import / Export, use Download backup to save your settings, songs, and history somewhere safe.

Installing is not a cloud backup. Browser data can be cleared or removed, and it does not automatically follow you to a new phone. Restore an exported backup on the new device. If your browser and installed app have separate histories, use a backup to move between them; restoring replaces the destination's saved app data.

Updates without interrupting your song.

Note Quite checks for updates when it starts online and when connectivity returns. If an update is ready, choose Update now after stopping practice or playback. Your position is saved before the app restarts. You can keep practicing offline on the version already saved.

A little help getting set up.

I don't see an Install button.

On iPhone and iPad, use Safari's Share menu instead. Elsewhere, check the browser's own install menu, use a current browser, and open the trainer directly rather than inside a social app's browser. The app may already be installed. You can still practice in a regular browser tab.

The icon opens the landing page.

Open the /app/ address and add that page instead. Before removing an old shortcut or installation, export any practice history you want to keep.

A song will not open offline.

Reconnect and open that song inside the same installed app or browser profile, then try offline again. Opening the song list alone does not save all 104 pieces. Use Download everything for offline use in Settings to save the full library or retry missing downloads. Browser storage may also have been cleared or reclaimed.

The microphone does not work.

Make sure the address starts with https:// and allow microphone access. Check the selected input in Settings. Try the microphone check, use headphones, and adjust input sensitivity or automatic microphone gain if needed. Installation does not bypass microphone permissions.

Will reminders work just because I installed it?

Note Quite uses calendar reminders, not app push notifications. In Settings, download the daily reminder and import it into your calendar. Confirm the calendar alert and time; installing the app alone does not schedule a reminder.
